If there is a risk of splash, irritant or debris into the eyes, then most regulatory bodies mandate an ANSI Z358.1 Standard compliant eyewash with a 1-second activation.

Using the eyePOD® eyewash station is super simple. After it is hooked up (takes minutes), turn on your faucet and rotate the front of the eyePOD® a 1/4 turn to activate the station. The flow is gentle, mild (thermostatic shutoff) water designed to flush contaminates out of eyes and away from nasal cavity. Once finished, rotate back and your faucet is standard once more. A faucet-mounted eyewash offers huge economical advantages as well as convenience and multi-purpose use.

Where should it be located?

It is recommended that units be in accessible locations not more than 10 seconds away from the hazard, on the same level as the hazard, and free from obstructions that may inhibit its immediate use.
