The HatchSafe is a complete system, including everything needed to meet OSHA roof hatch regulations. The permanent four-sided protection is specifically designed to protect personnel using and working around open roof hatches.
Improve roof hatch safety by providing your people with stable guardrails around open hatches. Maintain the convenience of the open hatch with an integrated self-closing swing gate, designed to allow traffic through an access point without compromising on safety. Finally a set of horizontal grab bars allow for a easier and safer transition for personnel climbing up to / down from the rooftop.
OSHA REGULATION 29 CFR 1910.23
This system provides permanent 4-walled protection specifically designed for roof hatch openings and provides employees a safe stable grip while using the roof hatch.
Roof hatch safety is often overlooked but critical for those climbing in and around an open hatch. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.23 requires “open roof hatches are protected” with guardrails. Unfortunately many building owners simply overlook OSHA 1910.23 and the risks of posed by a unprotected roof hatch. Use HatchSafe to meet federal OSHA safety railing requirements.
Integrated Ladder Safety Gate & Grab bars
The HatchSafe (HSG) includes the LSG self-closing ladder safety gate and a set of horizontal grab bars designed to prevent falls and provide support to personnel using the roof-hatch. The LSG self-closing swing gate allows employees through the perimeter while remaining in place to prevent falls. The horizontal grab bars provide users a stable, firm place to support themselves while transitioning onto/off a fixed ladder.
